Maitenance.
I have been thinking about where I am now and where I will be going...
I think at this point my primary goal is to maintain what I have achieved. With a baby on the way it will be increasingly more difficult to focus on supplemental training and will just have to get them when I can. If I lose what I have gained now it will be much harder to get back after the baby is born. I am not training for a tournament or a big fight except a home birth (hopefully a smoker if those ever happen).
So I want to maintain my technique, stamina, endurance, and overall functional strength. Improvements will be welcomed, but my goal is more maintenance. I would like to sharpen the technique I am already familiar with. Working on a improving a few basic concepts.
My training will be focused around building/maintaining through working on technique and utilizing kettlebells and BW exercise. Probably heavy on GPP, Warrior Challenge and Density programs. Not a lot of strength training with long periods of rest. Average workout time closer to 20 or 30 minutes. Long skilled based regimens on the weekends.
Skill – Rest - Warrior Challenge – Dice Roll - Rest – Skill - GPP
Skill will generally be at the MT gym or at home on the weekends to devote longer time periods. For example working Kata, Kihon, technique based Heavy Bag work, slipping, footwork, shadowboxing, etc.
Warrior Challenge focused on achieving completion with the fastest time possible. IE Snatch test, Rounds of 50 kicks in XX time
GPP focused on achieving a strong pace of work within a given time. IE VO2 Max Anything, 1 minute speed rounds on HB, etc.
Dice Roll is a tossup day that will be determined by fate. I will throw in a strength session here within the possible choices of the dice roll.
Very close to Ross Enamait Infinite Intensity program. Will be subbing some of the finishers like sandbag carry for OH Waiters walks or 100 Medball slams for Swings.
