Swing Day! Monday 02/14/2011

I'm on the fourth week of according to the RKC minimum program. This means a jump to 40 swings with 1 minute active recovery. No increase in the TGU department, but I think I will increase the time.

Joint Mobility: Usual Suspects (Halos, Wall Squats, Pumps)
Warm Up: Some light arm, leg flailing. Working on trying to build up calve muscle endurance by keeping up on my toes and bouncing around.
Main Course: 15 minutes. 40 Swings with 1 minute active recovery. 24 kg KB.

Started off well alternating 1 arm swings in series of 10 till desired amount. Midway through I started doing 30 one arm, 10 two hand. By the last few minutes I was full on two hand swings. I noticed that my forearms and lat muscles were burning out faster than my leg muscles.

Probably start working in some higher rep, medium weight long cycle press exercises duyring off days.

Seems like my body endurance can handle 30 swings and can still be fairly active during recovery time. Anything higher than that my active recovery consists of hands up and just walking around.
